 SOLAR ECLIPSE

.

Hello, welcome back to Dreamworks Blog. Something rare happened on April 8, something that happens every 7 years, a SOLAR ECLIPSE. It was a really enchanting experience. If you do not know what a solar eclipse is, it is basically when the moon passes between the Earth and sun, blocking some or all of the sun's light. This happens only during a new moon when the Earth, moon and sun are aligned in a straight or nearly straight line.

There are three types of solar eclipses: total, partial and annular. A total eclipse is when the moon completely covers the sun. In a total eclipse it gets even darker than it does in a solar eclipse, that is also a reason why it is called total solar eclipse.

A partial eclipse is when part of the sun is covered., similar to a solar eclipse but not quite. This occurs when the alignment of the sun, moon and Earth is such that the moon blocks parts of the sun.

Finally, annular eclipse happens when the moon moves between the Earth and sun, but is doesn't block the sun completely, instead there is a ring of sunlight around it's edges. It occurs because the moon moves away from earth making it look smaller.

It is definitely one of the most magical and beautiful things you can see, just be sure to wear special eyeglasses when you see it because if you don't you can get blind, but if you do you can enjoy one of the prettiest sceneries.

The countries that had the most visible eclipse were parts of Mexico, New York, Newfoundland, I live in Canada and the most visible place here to see the eclipse was in Niagra falls which is in Ontario and I live in Alberta, so sadly I did not see much of the eclipse, but oh well maybe next time bye.
